I first came across this therapy and was blown away by its uniqueness and effectiveness for lasting change. That's why I am so proud to be able to bring this therapy to Open House Coaching and Wellbeing.
I am committed to guiding and facilitating clients find the best solutions to their challenges, and IEMT is one of the many modalities that I provide.
Integral Eye Movement Techniques (IEMT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on the role of eye movements in the processing of emotions and memories. It was developed by Andrew T. Austin, a therapist and trainer
The IEMT approach is based on the idea that certain eye movements can help to rapidly shift a person's thinking and feeling patterns. These eye movements are used in a structured way to help individuals reprocess and integrate traumatic memories and emotions, and to achieve greater emotional regulation and resilience.
During an IEMT session, the therapist guides the client through a series of eye movements while asking them to focus on specific thoughts, memories, or sensations. The therapist may also ask the client to track their eye movements as they recall traumatic events or negative emotions.
The specific eye movements used in IEMT are believed to stimulate the amygdala, a part of the brain that is involved in the processing of emotions and memory. By activating this part of the brain, IEMT can help to promote the reprocessing and integration of traumatic experiences and emotions, leading to greater emotional regulation and resilience.
IEMT has been used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and phobias. It is often used in combination with other therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based therapies.
It is important to note that IEMT should only be practiced by trained and licensed mental health professionals. I am a fully trained and accredited IEMT practitioner
I work with this modality because of its pure excellence and transformative results for my clients. it is a change therapy that I believe in its effectiveness and that's why I chose to develop in this modality and bring it to my practise, for the good of all and its life changing results
